Da Bullyboyz - Ghazkhull's Bodyguard.

Las-bolts flashed around in a storm as the oomies opened fire towards the wildly charging Ork mobs. Azog Tintoof grinned wildly as his suit of Mega-Armour built up speed and he felt the stabs of light knick the flesh of his face, one of his only unarmoured parts.

"Dey's shootin' us up Boss!" An Ork wailed in a mob nearby.

"Course day iz ya daft sod, shoot 'em back!" The unknown Nob bawled and the Orks around him lit up like a sudden revelation had struck them all.

Tintoof watched as flashes lit up the charging Orks as they opened fire with everything from Sluggaz and Shootaz to Rokkitz, and even throwing stones.
His own Kombi-Burna roared as he fired solid shells in the vague direction they were charging.
Alongside him were the other members of Da Bullyboyz and their Boss, mighty Ghazkhull Thraka himself. The ground thundered under their massive mechanical weight, Tintoof looked ahead and saw brilliant red lights darting and flashing at him as the oomies desperately tried to bring more firepower to bear.

"Fire Da Stikkbombz, keep dere' 'eads down" Ghazkhull roared, and in a ragged fashion smoke belching Stikkbombz were hurled forward into the Imperial line. Exploding amongst the oomies and slackening the firepower for that crucial second.

Like an out of control frieght train, the Meganobz hit the Imperial Guard crushing several into paste simply beneath their bulk before laying around them with crackling Power klaws. In seconds there was utter carnage and the oomies were breaking to flee the onslaught, the other Boyz laid in around the bosses, careful enough not to get within klaw range as anything that moved was a target.

Tintoof grinned as he laid about him, firing gouts of burning fuel from his Skorcha and smashing anything he could with his klaw. He stumbled as an oomie in a black coat and peaked hat hacked at him with a chainsword.
Moving faster then it would seem possible for the ramshackle collection of metal plates, Tintoof uppercut with his power klaw and separated the man's head from neck in a highly satisfactory way. He could even see the wide eyed shocked expression on the dead man's face as his head flew through the air.

And hit the Ork Nob from earlier in the great grinning gob.

"Oi, git" he started, "watch were yous throwin' stuff!".

"Or what?" Gutshredda, the self-styled boss of Da Bullyboyz shouted back.

"I'll meet ya in da fightin' pits, if yous' Ork enuff ta face me wivout all ya protection on, weedy zogger" the Nob shouted, gesticulating with his fingers at the same time.
With a snarl, Gutshredda lurched forward and snipped the upstart Nobz arm off at the shoulder.
Tintoof fired his Skorcha into the general mob driving them back.

"Too big fer ya own Gob" Gutshredda said and headbutted the wounded Nob with a sickening crunch as his armoured head met Ork cranium and the Nob collapsed into the bloody mush at their feet.

"Enough mukkin' about. Get into 'em" Ghazkhull roared and led the Waaagh on the move again.

*****

Greetings friends, it's been a little quiet after my slew of Terminator posts, mainly because I've been pulled in for extra shifts on the railway, and I've started practicing for my train driver exams which are in mid-December (as of writing this).

I'm working on finishing things which were part painted at the moment as a break from Practicing this, these Boyz are the first of these completed projects.

I didn't manage to get this mob of Meganobz finished in Orktober due to concentrating on the Dreadmob. But they follow Ghazkhull's general colour scheme, just with a little more bare metal then the big boss!

They all have a Kombi-Burna so as they can actually hit something with shooting on their way into combat, remember in 5th edition (which is my favoured edition along with Marovian) they'd get to use a flamer template so guaranteed hits on their target as Ork shooting is terribad!

Boss Urkar Gutshredda:

A proper Goff, the self-styled leader of the mob has a horned helmet as well as the horned skull motif on the bosspole. The usual 'Ard Boy Checkers scattered around the model as well as the Goff colours break up the metal hues of the Mega-Armour.

Arzog Tintoof:

I made sure to select all the bosspoles with the Goff Bull symbol, to really stuck home the idea that these guys are Ghazkhull's handpicked bodyguards. I miss the days of 3rd edition where you could mix Meganobz, Nobz, Dokz and Mekboyz all in the same bodyguard unit for a Warboss.

Zogbod Skullcleava:

The last bosspole with the basket of skullz was too goo not to use! I also took pains to give all three Meganobz slight variations on where the checkers were and apart from the black armour and red strip, I really tried to get the rest of their colours non-standard across the unit, really to get to that "everything is unique" aspect which the lore keeps mentioning about the Mekboyz and their creations.

Finally, the bodyguard with the big boss himself:

Not that I think Ghazkhull really needs a bodyguard, he's definitely big enough and ugly enough to look after himself.

Just a shame with the 9th edition Guard codex coming out soon that Old Bale Eye is dead in the 42nd Millennium:

We'll always have those heady days of Ghazkhull and Yarrick on Armageddon to go back and fight again.
When I eventually get together with Marovian for another game, it'll definitely be somewhere on Armageddon fighting during the 3rd War, good times.

Until next time, have nice day...
